NEUCLEAR POWER PLAN IN INDIA AT 10-MILES RADIUS AREA.

At  first, this place is response area  because it is included in the nuclear  power  plant which is existing behind energy corporation, located  In  Buchanan. This nuclear power plant have been existing  within the residents   Westchester county, Rockland county, Orange county  and  Putnam county. And the residents  of  this  above  counties  should  be  a bit  aware  of how  to keep  prepared  because  any kind of radiological emergency can appear strongly. Also the same residence should know that it is risk staying 10-miles radius of Indian point because this is a real nuclear power plant.

Emergency planning zone {EPZ} and radiological emergency plan {REP} for the Indian point energy center had been explaining how dangerous it should be if any kind of radiological emergency can appear. This has been a warning because in fact within 10-miles radius area population is about 300,000-350,000 people. So, that means if any danger may sprout many people would lose their lives.  On the other hand, there is a disaster accountability project which some of them are governmental and nongovernmental organization, but are working to save lives and reduce sufferings if the disaster should appear of preparedness or maybe response.

But going back to the dangers of living within 10-miles radius area, this disasters accountability projects are guiding and helping people to be prepared for a possible emergency at the India point energy. Really messages from this disasters accountability projects have been sent to all people who lives within Indian point” Emergency planning Zone.”

Government accountability office, {GAO} and disaster solving should educate families within or around Indian point preparedness in a strong manner.  They should also educate families also what to do after the disaster maximized .And because disaster event may affect more than 300,000 people, these disaster solving should register evacuees, make security good, have a hint of businesses continuity, making frustructer so that public transport may run smoothly. Also they should search shelter provision for those who may found themselves in a disaster. Again communication network should be looked at.

Going forward this disaster solving organizations should keep on educating and defining how dangerous residences are living in. also they should enforce evacuation orders which are foe public safety. In fact, here even the central government should outline orders to evacuate specific areas. They should do this through broadcasting, radio, television. They should keep on repeating  that if a disaster appear, people who are evacuate should move outside of emergency planning zone{EPZ}. Again disaster solving organization should let residence receive warnings and emergency information’s via the web, cell phone and emails because this is not a comfort zone.

On the side of health, healthy officials have to recommend residence living within 10-miles to be taking medicine for protection. It is again important that emergency at Indian point alarms to be loud and clear without ant interruptions.

Time to Get Tough on Tehran

This concerns the nuclear deal which signed by USA and other great powers countries with Iran, that is in July 2015. And in fact this deal  is somehow protecting Iran from making nuclear weapons. This signed deal it seems as a great agreement which is in records because it is protecting environment and human lives.

Even USA administration seems to be against making of nuclear weapons but it may be all vain because this administration itself does not know how to control these dangerous activities from Tehran. Many years passed USA government has not dealing with issues of nuclear which going on in Iran, because Iran is an Islamic republic. Here policy makers from USA have not succeeded even a single time to control making of nuclear in Iran since days of President Ronald Reagan, yet Iran since it is cross to USA,USA  should accept that Iran is dangerous country without anyone who can stop it. So that means  making of nuclear  weapons in  Iran will go on and on

In fact, even countries like Israel and Middle East have give out serious challenges which might occur through Tehran. So USA should be aware that if Islamic happens to join the soviet union, the peace between Washington and Tehran will end there and there. This may happen because always Iran policy has been existing together with jcpoa.

Iran is becoming strong because the agreement is it rights to have uranium and trade this to no maximum.  So these means Iran can make any nuclear for a research or for development. Again, these agreements gives Iran too much freedom without limits even by making ballistic missiles or a pillar of any nuclear weapon program.

Indications shows that after the agreements expires Iran will not be restricted from building any nuclear restoration as it needs, as much uranium as it wishes. JCPOA says that Iran as a nuclear states it may make a bomb which is called Iranian bomb. This is almost like an agreement which allows the Iran’s to go for more nuclear because of their competitors for power, for instance, Saudi Arabia is now and then trying to keep Russian before Iran. This is because it has announced uranium enrichment as part of its civilian nuclear. Though USA had agreed with this on the other hand is trying to provoke nuclear makers. Also USA government and its supporters is trying to make Iran to agree nuclear is not, but this has no any results.

Scientifics are on the frontline to motivate Tehran to build more nuclear weapons. Even Iran negotiators have admitted that Scientifics have been appreciating this program of building more and powerful nuclear. So, this gives Iran officials more power to defend their programs. Maybe Iran officials are not only doing this to defend their programs but also they are doing this to fulfill the scientific requirements. Even the JCPOA allows Iran to advance with programs of nuclear which will be installed in the eighth years of agreement but this one is like ending Iran powerless because timeline is limit. Though President Hassan Rouhani admit development of new centrifuges is running so fast, so Iran should builds small facility producing weapons. But once Iran will build weapons grade uranium, it will also be able to make ballistic missiles. This is why JCPOA says next USA President should look at it. Even other officials like secretary of state John Kerry have accepted that government should search ways to make this weak. And there is one way to do this. That USA official should make a law saying that when the signed deal will expire, united States and other five great powers that signed the deal and Iran, vote on whether to extend the agreement adding five years or not. And they should say that the vote should be casted after every five years. This will be like nuclear nonproliferation treaty.

USA should agree with Iran to bring out all uranium out of country forever. And because JCPOA said Iran’s spent fuel from its plutonium production will be closed, it should almost do the same to the uranium. And this will shorten its nuclear breakout . United states have to learn the ways of making Iran’s ballistic missiles   no to function at all. Even the whole world should keep on demanding that Iran should stop developments of missiles and nuclear. And by USA pressing for more Inspections as to Iran, it will ended up Iran to dismantled its nuclear and missiles like what South Africa did in 19

90.

This will give international atomic energy agency more power because it will reflect this case to that of South Africa. But through US President it seems that JCPOA is not doing its work. So, USA does not seems to go for JCPOA for any assistance. UN security council is also trying to bring change. But some of the countries like Israel are opposing the deal. On the other hand, countries like Saudi Arabia are strongly supporting JCPOA, saying that it has agreat effort to please USA government. Country like France and Germany cant prove this. So, as an advice the next head of Washington should be ready to talk with Iran and also ready to stop it.

But apart from that USA government is against Islamic republic for its domestic abuse. Obama’s administration is in a need of nuclear deal but this is going on like indirect. The United States have behaviuor of talking against Iran. And this way Iran will not stop making missiles and nuclear.  But if US want Iran to change the way of making those nuclear it should stress Iran directly or at home. But this is not so easy because European countries are the ones who made JCPOA and they  are not stressing it to deal with Iran. So far, European may end its relationship with USA.

CONCLUSION

Its is hard for Iran to stop this but it should stop. Because even those nuclear of research and development it makes are not good. In fact, before Iran make this nuclear the careful inspections should be done by scientific to determine whether it can be harmful to the world. Also international atomic energy has always to be investigating Iran nuclear program because fear is living in people. So, however, Iran should be given regulations and restrictions While making nuclear. Those who  make nuclear should be more knowledgable about how the lives are meaningful. They should have limits of producing weapons. Scientific should not keep on entertaining building of nuclear weapons of Tehran. Iran’s officials should know how to keep educating generations about challenges which maybe brought by nuclear programs. For the Iranian administration it should be strong enough to put down Tehran projects but not supporting. Also, Iran administration should bring essential restriction on Tehran programs. It should do this like what it was done in South Africa in 1990

The ways of helping those who are educated to live in the tough society especially when they finished school should be looked at. This is because unemployment has become the main challenge in the whole world. Graduates of all levels, mostly in USA should know that when they finished school, chances of lacking job are high

Graduates students should engage themselves in talents instead of waiting to be employed, yet there are no jobs in the market. For sure it seems that there is a disconnect to good jobs with this generation. So all what graduate have to do is to seat down and look ways of solving this. Or they should go for research organizations so that to help we on how these issues of jobless may be solved one of the most Research shows most of the business recruits peoples by not caring about their skills. Or business manager’s recruits people while using soft skills or no even skills and that is one major impact why growth of unemployment is raising.

All the study must be combined with hands because they are all equal. Corporate partners can also help to teach the curriculums of both hard and soft skills and shape curriculums also

Students both hard and soft skills and they should be adopted and adapted in all colleges. But in fact challenge in higher education is that they want to give hand skill first priority. Colleges and universities should be admitting both hard and soft skill student

OaIM Assignment: “CC Music” Consultancy Report

Part A: Analysis – Business Process Models and strategy analysis

  1. Business Process Models

A business process model is a graphical representation of the workflow or business processes of an organization (Recker et al., 2009). It is used as a means of detecting potential enhancements. There are various business process models that business uses for this purpose. These include Business Process Models and Notation, process flowcharts, PERT diagrams, Gantt charts, and UML diagrams among others (Recker et al., 2009). Since CC Music is a new business, a new business process model is required. For this report, two models will be used. First is the flowchart model. This is the most popular model used by organizations across the world (Recker et al., 2009). The model is easily understood because it has a few standard symbols. It is thus considered effective and powerful. Flowchart process model uses a sequential flow of actions. It does not support a breakdown of actions.

The flowchart model will capture the existing and proposed business processes for CC Music (Recker et al., 2009). The first action is publicizing the band through a website and other channels. The second process is dealing with booking arrangements. This is after clients request for the company’s service. The third action is receiving a contract as per terms and conditions. The fourth action is delivering the service, in this case, presenting them music to the customers. Eventually, the band will receive the payment. Below is the flowchart (Figure 1).

Figure 1: Flowchart business process model

Reserved: Receive contract
Oval: Deliver service
Reserved: Receive payment

The second business process model is Business Process Model and Notation. The model was developed by the Business Process Management Initiative (Recker et al., 2009). It is also a graphical representation specifying business processes. Its objective is supporting business process management. This is for business users as well as technical users. This is done by providing an intuitive notation to business users (Aagesen & Krogstie, 2016). The model also supports the representation of process semantics that is complex. The main goal of the model is providing a standard notation that is readily clear to all business stakeholders including business managers, technical developers, and business analysts.

Business Process Model and Notation

Rounded Rectangle: Process credit card
Oval: Deliver the service

The starting activity in this model is publicizing the band while the end activity is delivering the service, music. Identifying the payment method serves as a task in this model (Aagesen & Krogstie, 2016). Deciding on which mode to accept serves as a gateway decision. While flowchart model is simple, the Business Process Model and Notation is better because it is more detailed (Aagesen & Krogstie, 2016). It will ensure that CC Music takes into account all necessary actions essential for the achievement of set objectives.

These skills are acquired through experience in running a business and through research. Chris and Clive lack these skills and this may challenge how they run the business. Based on SWOT analysis, although CC Music is operating at a good level, some changes are required for the business to be successful (Gurel & Tat, 2017). Internally, the business has strengths that can help remain successful. At the same time, the business has weaknesses that can hinder it from being successful. The strengths include good management skills, advanced technology skills, and available labor. First, Chris and Clive previous experience in managing all aspects of a Northern Soul band equipped them with required management skills. Through these strengths, Chris and Clive will be able to lead the business into a success.

However, the following weaknesses must be worked on to avoid their hindrance on the way to success (Gurel & Tat, 2017). These are lack of business skills and equal power sharing. Equal power-sharing, for instance, may lead to internal conflicts associated with inefficiency. Similarly, lack of leadership skills for Chris and Clive limits them for leading the company into success.  Externally, CC Music has opportunities that if explored can lead to the achievement of set objectives. At the same time, the business faces threats that can ruin it.

The opportunities include technology, a wider customer base, and a new customer segment.  If the business takes advantage of these opportunities, it will be able to improve its operations associated with increased profits (Gurel & Tat, 2017). By taking advantage of the advancing technology, the company will be able to improve its efficiency such as through digital marketing expanding consumer base. By representing other bands, the company will be able to reach a new consumer segment essential for business growth. On the other hand, if the business fails to overcome the identified threats, competition, and internal conflicts, its effectiveness will be affected. Other companies are offering similar services to the target population. If CC Music fails to outshine the competitors the business will not be successful (Gurel & Tat, 2017). Also, internal conflicts may low business effectiveness of not well managed.

2.2 Need for business process model

CC Music is a new business. Therefore, it needs a new business process model to ensure that it succeeds (Aagesen & Krogstie, 2016). With the right model, the company will be able to first improve its efficiency. By identifying the best ways to do the business process, the company will be highly efficient, productive, and have desired outcomes. Second, with the model, the company will be able to develop a business culture of change and innovation (Aagesen & Krogstie, 2016). This is essential for evolving in this technological era. Third, with the model, the business will operate with transparency leading to accountability. Eventually, the company will be able to overcome competition in the entertainment industry. Business Process Model and Notation is recommended because it is more detailed compared to the flowchart model.

2.3 Open source software

Based on the Open Source Software Comparison, of the four software, Odoo open software would be more suitable for CC Music. This is because; first, its functionality is broad compared to the other versions (Devkota, 2016). Additionally, it includes customer service and marketing automation, main functionality features. To overcome such challenges and have a successful process, CC Music should follow the following strategies. First, implementing the software will be a major change for the company. To avoid resistance to this change, all employees should be engaged in the implementation process, from the first step to the last (Devkota, 2016).

Second, CC Music should consider training from software vendors. This will ensure that employees in the company are able to work with the software essential in a better transition to the new system. Additionally, for successful implementation, CC Music should consider the following steps; the first step is assessing its needs (Devkota, 2016). • Recommendations

This report provides the following recommendations to ensure that CC Music emerges successful. First, Chris and Clive should learn business skills to effectively run the business. Business skills are essential for a new business to be successful. These skills can be acquired through an experience such as working in leadership positions, through training, and through research (Gurel & Tat, 2017). Second, CC Music should adopt better strategies to avoid internal conflicts that arise when family members are involved in a business. Such strategies may include having a clear and open communication line, treating all employees the same, and avoiding family decisions in support of business decisions.

Third, CC Music should take advantage of the technology to succeed in the industry. This report recommends adaption of open source business software, Odoo, and using business process models, specifically Business Process Model and Notation to ensure its operations run smoothly. Additionally, the company should take advantage of advancing technology for marketing and promotions (Montiel-Campos & Palma-Chorres, 2016). This will put the company in a better position compared to competitors using traditional marketing and promotion strategies. Fourth, CC Music should take advantage of representing other bands to reach the new consumer target. CC Music band should take advantage of this opportunity to win the population widening its consumer base (Gurel & Tat, 2017).

Part D: Reflection on the contribution to the online discussion

Online discussions have been a source of more information for me. By making several contributions to the discussion, I learned more about small business operations. First, first, I discovered that business software is as important for small businesses as it is for large enterprises. Before, the online discussion, I saw no need for small businesses to invest in ay software to run operations. Such a move to me would only be a waste of limited resources. However, during the online discussion, I discovered that small businesses need business software for the same reasons as large businesses. Additionally, I learned the importance of open source business software as compared to proprietary software. This is especially for businesses starting with limited capital or businesses looking forward to reducing cost.

Additionally, through online discussions, I learned that even small businesses can use business process models to improve their effectiveness. When writing the report I discovered that business process models are essential for detecting potential improvements. Before the report, I thought it is very easy to tell the business processes of small business and hence no need of having a formal graphical representation of these processes. However, after the online discussions on business process models, I learned that the models play an important role in a successful business. Again, various models exist that can help the small businesses to improve its operations leading to a successful venture. Therefore, online discussion and my contributions are essential practices in having a deeper understanding of key concepts.

Systematic Analysis of a Work of Art

Descriptive analysis of John F. Kennedy Library and Museum

  1. Technical and Factual information

Identification

Title: John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum

Museum: The museum is located at Columbia Point in a ten acre park. Its spaces are organized by a two tier design. Apart from preserving JKF’s memory, the museum contains information about the heritage and culture of the US history.

Subject matter

John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum provides information about the history of the US under the leadership of John Kennedy. It is dedicated to him as the thirty-fifth president. It is also dedicated to all people who sought a better world through politics. The museum portrays the life of President Kennedy, his leadership, and his legacy, his passion for public service, as well as the nature of the president’s office. Additionally, JFK Library promotes an appreciation of the cultural and political heritage of the US and the importance of public service.

Technical information

Materials: In the construction, glass, concrete, and steel were used as the main materials. The surrounding land is planted with beach shrubs and grass.

Size

JFK Library was originally built on 115,000 square feet. However, this changed to a size of 164,000 square feet after addition of the Stephen E. Smith Center and Museum storage block. The building consists of a nine-story tower joined to a pavilion that is enclosed by glass. Bordering is the Smith center with museum theatre on one side and the storage area and lobby on the other side.

Condition

JKF Library is well maintained considering that it preserves the history of JKF as well as the history of the USA. There are efforts to maintain the building in good conditions through various renovations. Presence of new structures indicates that the building will continue to have some changes in an effort to ensure that it is in good condition for the visitors.

  • Formal Analysis

John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum has a sculpture of a free standing figure. It is a stand-alone figure that is observable from all angles. One can walk around the building. Freestanding sculptures are usually not attached to the background. Additionally, they have space all round. JKF Library is unattached to the background and has spaces on all sides. The sculpture is built out of concrete, steel, and glass. These main materials are uniquely used in building the attractive building. Considering that the library is highly maintained it is hard to trace leftovers of the materials used in the building. The fact that the building was also done some years back limits traces of the building tools or materials. The building is however finished with concrete.

The building takes a geometric form that incorporates circular elements and a central cube. They are intersected by a triangular volume. The geometric forms are delineated sharply in contrasting white and black. A triangular tower protrudes from the geometric forms. A long the tower is a cube of steel and glass rising along with it. This represents a simple structure with a large glass pavilion. The circular section is connected to the tower by glass pavilion that is grey in color. The stark precast panels of concrete make up the forms that separate theatre arch, and the triangular library with museum between whose focus is on glass pavilion.

Color is largely used in decorating the building. The dark color of the glass has been considered important in the construction of JFK Library and museum. Other materials have been painted either black, white, or grey. For instance, the square base is painted white while its top has a smaller dark grey volume. The color has special meaning as it is used in contrast as a means to identify sections. The artists use the color for descriptive function. The artists have considered the effect of light on the work. The forms are arranged in a manner that changes the light. The ribbon skylight, which expands to the lobby makes the reception area to be naturally illuminated. In the theatre, the setting is darkened enabling viewers to have a greater experience by being alone in their thoughts. The darkened setting also helps viewers to focus on the film. The black glass provides a view from inside to the waters. Sloping skylight is used in providing natural lighting.

The texture of the surface varies from sections to sections. For the parts built with glass, the surface is smooth considering that glass is usually smooth. However, for the parts built with concrete some exterior parts are rough considering that smooth surface would pose some dangers in bad weather. The additional structures have utilized the available space enabling more people to access the building. The light, texture, color, and shape of the building make it fit in the site giving viewers an amazing experience. Although it may be challenging to access a taxi from the site, traffic is limited in the area making the site more fit for the building. Considering that many people visit the site, having it done in a city or in a highly populated area would increase traffic and slow movement. However, this site supports traffic flow making the building to fit it.

It is fun walking around looking at the building that seems to raise from nowhere. The white and grey color is used in a creative way. The geometric forms keep one moving to get the next shape of the building. The black glass looks attractive from outside as it reflects the white and grey color, the green plants, and the ocean. However, this experience changes with the weather. When it is rainy it would be challenging to walk in the open space around the building. Natural light gives a better experience and therefore walking around the building during the night changes the experience especially with the glass section.

Looking into the glass pavilion from the lobby space gives an amazing experience. One is able to have a view of the ocean. Looking at the building gives a brighter perception of the subject matter. One feels that there is something exciting. However, from inside one gets another feeling, a feeling of beauty and at the same time a feeling of struggle that people go through in life. The interior of the building creates a new perception related to the reasons why the museum was built in the first place. It is from inside that one gets to learn more about politics, about President Kennedy and his leadership. One learns about American culture and history. From exterior design one gets to see the beauty of the building. This perception is enhanced by the interior of the building with the rich history preserved in it.

There are symbolic components in the JFK Library and museum. One of the flag. The flag is used as a symbol of the country. The flag is a symbolic component because it indicates that the building is in honor of the president of the country and in the spirit of President Kennedy, the flag symbolizes the unity of American even if the citizens come from different races and ethnic groups.

The flag communicates the idea of Americanism in the building. Seeing the flag indicates that the building has something to do with American government and with American people. The geometric forms which are part of classical features are employed in the building. The features have been adopted in a modern way making the building to look more attractive. The additional structures have not altered the original design of the building and have been built in a unique design that complements the original design.

A Modest Proposal’

Swift uses satire in a unique and effective way in ‘A Modest Proposal’ such that one cannot tell whether it is irony or not. He chooses serious words and expresses them in a way that a reader cannot easily tell that the author is being ironic. A reader has to be very keen to note the rare mocking remarks Swift makes concerning the landlords he is criticizing.

By the time Swift was writing the piece, many Irish people were suffering due to extreme poverty. Ireland men were harshly exploited by politicians. Many people wrote about these deplorable conditions of the Irish people and got little or no response. However, by using a different approach, Swift through his use of satire was able to attract more attention.

Using satirical parody was beneficial for Swift in proving his point. For instance, when Swift talks about how a child who is one year old is nourishing, delicious, and wholesome food, he shocks the audience. The irony in the sentence is obviously clear to shock the target audience and make them realize the ridiculousness of the proposal which reflects the ridiculousness tolerated by the society.

Use of satire is common in our world today. This is especially so in times of crisis. Authors and members of the society often use satire to put pressure on power abuse when there is political or any other crisis. For instance, a campaign against racial inequality shows a white squad ready to stand -in for people of color at risk of facing discrimination. The entertaining video assures the blacks that the paste-colored office and all white workers will work on their favour. The video is entertaining but at the same time it shows how real racism is.

ASSESSING QUALITY OF CARE

There are various strengths for the nursing home survey process in assuring that people have high levels of quality of care and quality of life. Strengths are attributes that can enhance the ability to attain the objectives of healthcare centers like improved patient care, patients being comfortable during care, as well as improved quality of life (Buljac-Samardžić & van Woerkom, 2018). One of the strength is having committed survey staff. Survey staff plays an important role in assessing the quality care in healthcare facilities. Another strength is that the government backs the survey. The support from the government is an important strength when carrying out the survey. Besides, a strong relationship between survey staff and regulatory authorities. A strong relationship is required for a high degree of quality care and quality of life. The objective of the survey of ensuring quality in healthcare setting is another strength.

Despite the strengths, there are various weaknesses for a nursing home survey. Weaknesses are attributes that are not helpful for community health care nursing home programs. First, patients are losing trust and confidence in nursing care providers. Some of the results from survey reduces trust and confidence of patients over care facilities and providers. Second, lack of team or collaborative approach among survey teams (Buljac-Samardžić & van Woerkom, 2018). Teamwork and collaboration is an important aspect of the success of a process like survey. Third, the understaffing of physician specialists in healthcare settings is a weakness. In addition, open day programs do not attract volunteers as well as group accomplices, the social well toll associations. Workers are mainly caught up with other duties, making it impossible to be engaged with open day occasions, and they do not understand what is required from them.

Bacchi Framework

Bacchi framework, also known as “what is the problem represented to be.” It provides a different option of conceptualizing policy. While other frameworks tend to treat the policy as self-evident, the framework faults the privileging of all aspects of expertise and knowledge. For the framework, approaches to policy research are inherently political and need to be recognized as such. The framework originates from a feminist understanding that each issue influences the lives of women (MaCKEnZiE & BaCChi, 2010). She seeks to shift focus to policies as it comprising of competing representations of political issues by majoring on the discourse that surrounds them. Thus, it is an approach that provides details on the conceptualization of policies.

According to Bacchi Framework, research is not descriptive of a challenge or issue; it’s always political (Bacchi & Bacchi, 2010). The link between participation, knowledge, and power is pivotal and results in critical questions based on not only what aspect of knowledge is considered significant for policy operations but also the one who may speak legitimately. The framework foregrounds and calls for the need to evaluate how dynamics of power work in policymaking operations, particularly given that the historical tendency to marginalize those from influenced society. Most of the information that is revealed through policy creation.

Also, the framework serves as a key interruption to the assumptions that challenges are fixed and uncontroversial beginning points for policy development and it reminds people that the vague idea of the challenge and its partners the solution are heavily laden with focus (Kihl, Schull & Shaw, 2016). Bacchi framework assists to make sense of competing policy models by displaying how various framing and knowledge lead to different policy feedbacks and solutions from different contexts. For instance, questions 3 and six can be used to evaluate a policy, especially by considering what happened in the past to the one in the current policy.

The mainstream policymakers may be skeptical on using such an approach that can appear to offer more complexity than clarity, but a deeper knowledge of the political nature of policy framings is important to assist make sure that the most appropriate response is given (Lindblom, 2017). Bacchi’s framework assists make sense of fraught policy areas and advanced policymakers to decipher and understand the political aspects of different forms of evidence and advocacy, and how it fits with various theoretical and ideological point of video (Caetano et al., 2013). It has important implications for activist and advocacy firms by exposing what kind of evidence and understandings are likely to achieve traction in a given setting.

In the Bacchi framework, the interrogation of problem representations aims to create space for reflecting more widely on how aspects are governed rather than help-policy analyst to provide useful advice (Bacchi & Eveline, 2010). The assumption is that all the actors in a power relation are policy subjects and are involved in a heavily contested process of making policy. It offers a series of six questions to evaluate problem representation in the framework. The simplicity of the framework means that its use is broad and without the need to get involved in a complicated theory.

Although the framework uses a set up to evaluate a challenge representation, it cautious of the prescriptive and restrictive aspect of a model and of using one in discourse evaluation (Mattheis, 2017). The model is not a prescriptive proposal but instead a series of questions that motivates critical evaluation of policy that is consistent.

Barriers to effective coaching process

Today, coaching is among the most important aspect of an institution’s learning strategy. It has various benefits as a way to improve learning as well as performance. However, effective coaching experiences barriers such as the use of power, self-image, knowledge, and problem-solving (Malloch, 2017). Using the concepts of the unending coaching change in Porter-O’Grady and Malloch, I will develop a strategy for each barrier.

Use of power; it is one of the barriers to effective coaching. According to Porter-O’Grady and Malloch, a leader is not in control of the lives of other team members or circumstances where they do their work. In regards to this, a leader remains as a colleague to the team when coaching. In nurse coaching, a leader should assign tasks and allow the nurse to work.

Self-image; lack of self-esteem affects the productivity of team members during coaching. According to Porter-O’Grady and Malloch, appreciative leadership is important. In this case, a leader should use to communicate the errors or mistakes effectively without scolding when a caregiver makes a mistake.

Knowledge; inexperience or lack of personal technique can be a barrier to effective coaching. In this, coaches should act as a guide to team members and aid them develop and move in the direction they want. For example, if a nurse lacks some experience, a coach should allow the team member to acquire the skills to deliver effectively.

Problem solving; is among the barriers to effective coaching. However, a coach should build a problem-solving tool chest. In this, a coach should record previous challenges and their respective solutions that occurred in healthcare. With this information, it becomes easier to manage the current problems.

Beyond the Four Walls

The key areas for developing quality metrics in the home and community-based care are management, leadership, and finances. Quality is an important aspect of a home and community-based care. Background information of residents, leadership, and finances metrics are of utmost importance in developing quality metrics. To begin with, setting standards of measurement around finances will make sure that the quality of services is of high quality. The fact that no organization that can operate without finance makes metrics on finance an important determinant of quality. Besides, assessing background information about residents is vital (Arxer & Murphy, 2018). The information can be used as a key area of metrics in a nursing home. Leadership performance plays a key role in attaining quality in nursing. Thus, developing quality metrics around leadership, finances, and background information of residents is important.

Notably, assessing the health background information of the residents is easier compared to review the finances of home and community-based care as well as assessing the leadership of the care facilities. It is important to note that during the admission of a patient to any healthcare facility, the patient or the family is obliged to give any health information that would enable the healthcare providers to offer the best service. In addition, healthcare providers can work with other stakeholders to collect necessary information about patients. However, reviewing the finances of home and community based care is a bit challenging. It will be very hard to review the finances of care facilities around because it will need permission from authorities. Similarly, assessing the leadership of home might be tricky because of the process. Therefore, among the three, accessing the resident’s background information is the easiest.
