How The Ethical Issues In Supply Chain Will Affect The Next Generation Of International Supply Chain

Ethical Issues In Supply Chain

Supply chain management can be defined as the movement of raw materials particularly in an organization as internal processing and converting of raw materials are given the final touch to make them finished goods and are moved to the customers (end users). On the other hand, Ethical issues are also termed as the moral philosophy can be termed as the branch in philosophy which mostly systemizes, defend and recommends the concepts of right and wrong conduct. Supply chain management and ethical issues goes hand in hand to make things easier and to create a good rapport that will ensure smooth movement of goods and good communication and working environment for both customers and suppliers. As a result, this essay aims at developing a critical appreciation of the emerging issues with regards to logistics and supply chain system and how the ethical issues in supply chains will affect the next generation of international supply chain (Supply chain management, 2014).

To begin with, it is clear the literature involved on the business process re-engineering, buyer-supplier relationships as well as the supply chain managements have some components that have to be attended to especially whole managing the supply relationships. All these components points out to the ethical issues fort the supply chain management is essential to deliver the products and services to the customers (Institute for supply chain management, 2014). Therefore, in every component that they integrate the customers must be at the core of everything in order to make them happy and to satisfy them which in return makes the supply effective and continuous. So the notion of supply chain management should not only be indirectly associated with the issues surrounding consumer behaviors that maintains and pushes customers’ satisfaction but also focus on the suppliers themselves so that they can also be satisfied by the work that they engage with. However, the big question still remains how the next generation will cope with the issues that are arising in the supply system given the fact that most young people are so independent and self centred. Supply chain management demands complete flexibility and scalability and efficiency (Blecker & Abdelkafi, 2006).

Ethical issues will affect the supply chain management for it boosts the organization success and so the consumer behavior is very essential and a factor that should be considered as an organizational viability especially in years to come. Ethical issues in regard to consumer behavior and supply chain management will facilitate the customer satisfaction level especially towards the organization products and services. Schwartz, & Arizona State University,2008). However, most of the suppliers and in currently and in the future might think that the issues are so mediocre especially when it comes to small and medium enterprises. Nevertheless, ethical issues are so important for the handling of customers and consumers heavily depends on the conduct of the person directed by the rules and regulations of any organization in relation to what they term as right and wrong because the consumer behaviors improves the overall organizational performance.

Ethical issues will boosts the collaboration between buyers and suppliers, this is because they help to bring out joint product development, common systems and shared information between the buyers and suppliers in regard to what is in demand and fully satisfies the end users. Ethical issues will play a very vital role for it will help to operate an integrated supply chain that will enhance and ensure a continuous information flow. In addition, the ethical issues when well implemented and integrated they will help to boost the physical distribution, increase outsourcing and partnership and also help in performance measurement (Vallespir et al, 2009).

Moreover, ethical issues will affect the supply chain management for it will help while sharing the valuable information regarding demand signals, the forecast, inventory and transportation as there will be good interpersonal relationship within the working staff. This will help to solve the common problem that eventually arises as the information gets integrated and affects the entire supply chain management. This is because when people and mostly the staff know what is good, acceptable and essential they will be able to conduct themselves in the right manner and encourage each other while constructively criticizing others in order to achieve the common goal which is to make the supply chain management very successful( Workshop on E-Business et al, 2010).

To conclude, we can all agree that supply chain management and ethical issues goes hand in hand to make things easier and to create a good rapport that will ensure smooth movement of goods and good communication and working environment for both customers and suppliers. Ethics are essential in that they help to coordinate the design and development of the products and integrate the existing and the new products into the supply chain. This is very essential for supply chain management for effective work and outcome which will boost the business and other enterprises. Ethical issues when well implemented and integrated will help to boost the physical distribution, increase outsourcing and partnership and also help in performance measurement. Given these facts we can see that ethical issues are very essential in supply chain management and they are integral part which gives efficacious outcome.
