In this minor essay, students will:
Select a real airline that you are interested in. Discuss the strategies of this airline. (Full service, low cost, regional, cargo. etc.) Explore the targeted customer groups and kind of services that the airline offers. Descript the types of aircraft that the airline chooses to offer these services? And analyze why? Any sources (journal, book, conference, etc.) may be used as references.
Rubric areas will include: Content, Organization, Quality and Clarity of writing, Mechanics, Similarity, and References
Introduction to Aviation Management
Introduce the airline you chose.
- STRATEGY (The primary focus of this paper)
What is the business model of the airline? (Full service, low cost, regional, or cargo, etc.) What is the primary customer group of the airline? What kind of service does the airline offer?
Where are ‘home base’ and hubs be located? What kind of flights that the airline is offering? (point-to-point, hub-and-spoke) What are the routes of the airlines? And why does the airline operate on these routes?
What kind of aircraft does the airline have? Why does the airline choose these types of aircraft?
