This is a correlational; this is because in the research more than one variable is used and how the variables are related to each other, for example the study talks about the links between the behavior or early childhood and the behavior’s acquired during adolescence stage the research shows how the early childhood behavior can be used to tell the behavior of a child during his or her adolescence stage (Caspi et al., 1995).
The researcher explains that there are several ways explanations that can be reached from these intriguing behaviors. One of the explanations is that the temperamental characters in young children a usually early, and that the results of this extensive research suggest that early temperament can led to early prediction for the development of behavior complication during puberty stage behavior problem, the explanation is sensible due to the fact that at the age of 3 to 9 the behavior of a child is rated in terms of 22 aspect of temperament , which include emotion stability, restlessness etc. while the children at the age between 9 and 15 are rated on two categories of behavior problem checklists (Caspi et al., 1995). The checklist included feeling of inferiority and failure, conducts disorder, and socialized delinquency (Caspi et al., 1995).
The study concludes that the temperamental behavior is the aggressive behavior in the early childhood is likely to be associated with the behavior that a person acquires while he or she is in the adolescence period and that the temperament behaviors are behaviors that are see at the early age and can’t be drawn casually from the behavior’s that are acquired while in the mature age i.e. behavior disorders (Caspi et al., 1995).
